Bryant Named to Environmental Council

Friday, February 26th, 2010

Jonnie Bryant, Executive Director of Marketing and Sales, has been named to the Book Industry Environmental Council (BIEC). The BIEC is coordinated by Green Press Initiative and the Book Industry Study Group. The council focuses its efforts on the following three priority areas.

  • Tracking environmental progress of the book industry
  • Setting an industry wide goal for reducing greenhouse gas emissions
  • Establishing a label to identify publishers that are leading the way in reducing environmental impacts

The M&G team is pleased and privileged to be represented on this council of publishers, printers, paper manufacturers and suppliers, retailers and relevant non-profit organizations.

Collaboration Turns to Horror

When long term client Michael Wiese Productions asked M&G to collaborate on the filming of a promotional video, we agreed wholeheartedly to the task. We provided footage of a new release as it traveled through the plant on its way to becoming a book. The author, Devin  Watson, was also asked to contribute to the film.
