In a July 20th article, online magazine Slate.com reported that Amazon had remotely deleted previously purchased titles from the Kindles of its customers. Ironically, one of the titles deleted was George Orwell’s 1984, the classic dystopian novel that introduced the concept of Big Brother. Click here to read the article in its entirety.

FSC Experiences Major Growth
Friday, July 17th, 2009Over 100 million acres of forestland in North America is now managed to FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) standards. This reflects a 40% increase since January 2008. Click here to read more about the growth of FSC.
Chain-of-Custody certification is also on the rise. McNaughton & Gunn received FSC Chain-of-Custody certification in 2007. For the first half of 2009 we have processed 847 FSC claims on the books we print.
CPSIA a Priority for New CPSC Chief
