Book Tower Honoring Lincoln to Open This Month

A three story book tower consisting of around 6500 books is being erected in the lobby of the Ford’s Theatre Center for Education and Leadership. All of the books are written about Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States.

Animated Film About the Power of Books is Nominated for Academy Award

‎”The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore” is a sweet 15-minute animated film that highlights the power and pleasure of reading.

The film was one of five nominations for the 2012 Academy Awards’ Best Animated Short category, announced Jan. 24 and has already won 13 awards, including “Best Animated Short” and “Audience Award Winner” at the Austin Film Festival, and “Best Animated Short” at the Cinequest Film Fest.
