Saline, MI – McNaughton & Gunn, Inc., a book printing company headquartered in Saline, MI, announced that it has officially been certified for the Forest Stewardship Council Chain-of-Custody program. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a non-profit international organization devoted to the responsible management of the world’s forests.
     The FSC sets high standards that ensure forestry is practiced in an environmentally responsible, socially beneficial and economically viable way. The FSC, through independent third party audits, guarantees that 10 principles and 57 criteria addressing legal issues, indigenous rights, labor rights, social and economic benefits and environmental impact of responsible forestry are met before FSC Certification is granted.
     For McNaughton & Gunn clients, the Chain-of-Custody Certification program guarantees the integrity of specified papers from the forest, to pulp, paper mill, distributor, printer and finally to the finished book. Books printed with FSC certified paper are eligible to carry the FSC logo which is used to identify products coming from well-managed forests.

     McNaughton & Gunn, has been producing books since 1975. Today the company generates annual sales of over $30,000,000 and employs just over 200 team members at the headquarters and production facility in Saline.
